Schedule MAP Assessment
What is map testing?
The MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is the primary assessment tool used by the District to show growth in students. The MAP is a great way to see how your child/student is doing in math, reading, and language and to follow their progress over the years. MAP is given three times a year and must be taken during one of the district testing windows.
why should i bring my child in for map testing?
The MAP is a great tool to monitor your child's academic progress over the years. The reports help you focus in on your child's strengths and weaknesses to truly customize their instruction. It gives you the information needed to demonstrate your child's proficiency in reading, language, and math. MAP is also the main assessment tool used by the district to drive instruction. If your child should ever enroll in one of the traditional MSBSD schools, the MAP assessment will be used to help place students in the appropriate classes.
