"a la carte" TBCS Spring Workshops Descriptions:
Animal Face Wall Vase:
Students will create an animal face portrait vase to be hung on the wall. Perfect as a bud vase, a small potted plant or to hold pens and pencils by a desk. $15 deducted from allotment.
Bergey Boot Camp
April 5-7th. A three day, 2-hour bootcamp with Ms. Bergey. This bootcamp will consist of a targeted upper body day, a targeted lower body day and a targeted cardio/core day. All three days will include cardio strength work, a power yoga session and a smoothie snack break! $30/3days deducted from allotment.
Coral Reef Coin Bank:
Students will make a coin bank with an aquatic theme. $10 deducted from allotment.
Cute Bug Soldering Project:
Students will solder a battery-operated light-up bug that they will be able to take home. $5 deducted from allotment.
Fairy Houses and Toad Castles:
Students will build fairy houses or toad castles for decorative use in the garden or home. We will use pattern forms and handbuilding techniques. $15 deducted from allotment.
Garden Gnomes:
Students will hand-build personalized garden gnomes. $10 deducted from allotment.
Hand Print Serving Plate:
Students will use their handprint to create a fun fantastic animal illustration on a hand-built functional serving plate. $5 deducted from allotment.
Hike the Butte:
Light Up Soldering Project:
Students will have a choice of soldering a battery-operated light-up project that they will be able to take home. When they are done with their project they will have creative build time with Legos. $5 deducted from allotment.
Net Games:
Spend time learning the fundamentals of net games. We will be using nets and practice
techniques while learning to play Badminton, Volleyball and Ping Pong! $10 deducted from allotment.
Pottery Wheel:
Ever want to try your hand at the potter’s wheel? Students will take turns giving the potter’s wheel a try. Students will also hand-build a functional tripod mug, which will be dip glazed. $15 deducted from allotment.
Solder a Radio, Game, or Car:
Students will solder their choice of a radio, game, or car project that they will be able to take home. $10 deducted from allotment.
